Studio concept project

Role: product design + web app build · Scope: 6 weeks, self-initiated

Atlas — Field Ops

Brief & approach

Field crews — inspection, logistics, maintenance teams — often work off a phone screen in poor signal, coordinating with a dispatcher who's staring at a spreadsheet. Atlas is a self-initiated concept for the tool that sits between them: a job-intake and dispatch system built for people who aren't at a desk.

We mapped the core flows first — job intake, field logging, dispatch overview — before drawing a single screen. The component system came next: statuses, filters and data-dense tables built to stay legible on a small screen, with offline-aware interaction patterns for spotty signal. Only once the system held up did we build the working front end against it — the same Scope → Design → Build sequence sold on the Web App Development page.

What it demonstrates

  • A real component-driven front end, not a static mockup.
  • Data-dense UI (tables, statuses, filters) kept legible without becoming a spreadsheet.
  • Offline-aware interaction patterns designed for field use, not just office Wi-Fi.
  • The same Scope → Design → Build discipline the studio sells, applied to a real build.
