Nimbus — Design System

Brief & approach

Nimbus is a self-initiated concept for a standalone component library and token system — built the way a growing product team would actually need to use one, not as a mood board of pretty screens with no structure behind them.

Tokens came first: colour, type and spacing, structured for direct engineering handoff. Components came next, each built with its real states — default, hover, error, loading, empty — not just the happy path. The system was then applied to two working product flows as proof it holds up in real use, the same system-first approach sold on the Product Design page.
